With the steady increase in demand for fencing related activities for younger (year 4 and below) particitants, it was decided to set up an off-shoot of the OPS Epee club as a type of feeder club for those who wish to start fencing at a younger age, however would find the evening club sessions too late to attend during term time.
As such Chris Howser, former British Epee Champion and level 4 British Fencing Registered Coach will be running a club which will include games, co-ordination work, fencing footwork, skills as well as actual fencing with foam, plastic and full metal kit (will vary depending on weeks).
This club will run through term-times initially only, however we will re-visit this as the club develops.
Those attending wil need to wear track-suit bottoms, t-shirt, clean trainers with socks. All fencing related items will be supplied for the sessions.
Parents are required to stay in the vacinity of the venue (watching or staying in car-park) whilst the session take place.
This is part of the OPS Epee Club and is an addiion to our main Monday & Thursday sessions.
